The Children's Information Service - Information for Professionals

Do you work with children, young people or families?

Then you need to know about the Children and Young People’s Information Service (CYPIS)

What does the CYPIS do?
The CYPIS offers a one stop information, advice and assistance service for families with children aged 0-19 – and for all Children’s Trust staff that work with them.

Why you need to know about the CYPIS
If you are part of the Children’s Trust, then you need to know about the CYPIS.  We can help you find the information you need on a locality and city-wide basis to support the work you do with children, young people and families.

We have information about:

How else can we help you?

Getting your information out to parents and childcareprofessionals: We publish a magazine 3 times a year that goes directly to parents, and another that goes to childcare providers. We are always looking for interesting and relevant articles, so if you need to get your message out, then let us know.

Outreach: We can attend events for children, young people and families, taking the information we hold to the families you work with.

How you can help us
Please tell the families and professionals that you work with about the CYPIS.  We can supply you with leaflets and promotional items - please contact us if you think you could use some.

How can you get in contact with us?
We are open 8.30 – 4.30, Monday to Friday. We are often in earlier and stay later, so do try to call us outside of these times.
