Special schools and pupil support services
Your child could get help if they meet all of the following criteria:
Primary schools
- Cedar and Rosewood schools – all children qualify
All other schools:
- where the distance between your home and the school is more than 2 miles and your child attends the nearest appropriate school to your home (the Council will determine what is the nearest appropriate school)
Secondary schools
- Cedar and Rosewood School – all children qualify
All other schools:
- where the distance between your home and the school is more than 2 miles but less than 6 miles* and your child attends one of the three nearest appropriate schools to your home (the Council will determine which are the 3 nearest appropriate schools to your home)
* the upper distance limit will not apply if the nearest appropriate school is more than 6 miles from your home
