Southampton is a fantastic place full of diversity, culture and history. I have been to primary and secondary school here and attend Southampton City Youth Parliament. However, I don’t think that there are enough fun things for young people to do in Southampton.
In these tough economic times, going out and getting around in Southampton is too difficult. I believe we need cheaper public transport and more events that we can go to. As Youth MP, I would set up gigs and shows where local theatre groups, musicians and dancers can perform to show off their skills, because I believe that we should be celebrating the talents that young people have in Southampton, not ignoring them.
I am also passionate about building up the membership and power of Southampton City Youth Parliament. Young people in the city deserve a voice to speak up for what they want, someone who will represent them and all they believe in. I can be your voice. And together we will succeed.
