Isla Downey
Islay Downey is a Senior Parenting Practitioner with Southampton City Council.
Originally trained as a nurse, she has worked in a Cambodian Refugee camp in Thailand and in a children’s home in the Philippines. She has also held other jobs including training as a driving instructor. Islay has been supporting parents of various aged children for the last ten years, eight of those in Southampton. She regularly contributes to Radio Solent and the Daily Echo and also took part in a major BBC2 documentary about parenting.
