What is the Common Assessment Framework?
Sometimes it is also referred to as a 'CAF'.
It is an assessment to find the support that you or your child needs.
A team will put together the different types of help that are available.
You should only have to tell your story once.
It is voluntary - you can choose to be involved.

How could a Common Assessment support my family?
It will provide the best support available to parents, children and young people. Workers will share information with each other, so that everyone knows who is involved and what help is needed.
This means that you should not have to repeat the same information to different people.
Sometimes a shorter form is used if the worker thinks the needs can be met from their own service.
